Renovation of warehouse is of great significance, which can realize function upgrade and improve existing stor-age.Basic concepts, basic characteristicsandworkprogramsof value engineering were introduced. Concrete steps of value engi-neeringapplicationinstorehouse'smaintenance and reconstruction were illustrated, and two projects were compared. Service life af-ter warehouse rehabilitation was as time factor in cost index. Functionindex and weights were determined by AHP , and functionin-dex were determined with different projects. Optimum strengthening scheme was confirmed with valueengineeringfunction. It pro-vides technical support for warehouserenovation with valueengineeringevaluation.
