The impact of forest innovation ecosystem on forestry green development——based on threshold effect model
Forestry is the mainstay of green development and a core for promoting harmonious coexistence between human and nature as well as the construction of ecological civilization.Based on the construction of an indicator system to measure forestry innovation ecosystem and forestry green development level in provincial administrative regions in China, this paper empirically tested the impact of forestry innovation ecosystem on forestry green development by using panel data from 26 provincial administrative regions in China from 2012 to 2022.Additionally,it constructed a nonlinear panel regression model between forestry innovation ecosystem and forestry green development, with forestry green technology innovation as the threshold variable. The research found that:(1)From 2012 to 2022,forestry green development level in provincial administrative regions in China showed an upward trend.Forestry innovation ecosystem positively promoted forestry green development, and an increase in forestry innovation ecosystem by one unit resulted in a coefficient of 0.1300 for promoting forestry green development.(2)Forestry green technology innovation had passed the single threshold test, indicating that the forestry green development exhibited staged characteristics due to differences in forestry green technology innovation level.(3)The overall impact of the forestry innovation ecosystem on forestry green development was greater in the eastern region than in the central and western regions, and greater in resource-based regions than in non-resource-based regions. This paper explored the impact of forestry innovation ecosystem on forestry green development, established an analytical framework of"forestry innovation ecosystem-forestry green technology innovation-forestry green development",and enriched the mechanism of how forestry innovation ecosystem enabled forestry green development.Based on the research conclusions and discussions, this paper proposed policy implications such as continuously building a forestry innovation ecosystem, accelerating the transformation of forestry green technology, and adapting measures to local conditions in constructing forestry innovation ecosystem.
