Research on the development level of ecological civilization construction of Guizhou Province
Against the backdrop of the continuous promotion of national ecological civilization construction,as the region with the most concentrated and typical karst distribution in China,Guizhou Province has always been a focus and difficulty of attention from all sectors of society.Studying the development status of its ecological civilization construction is of great theoretical significance and practical value.Starting from five dimensions of ecological space, ecological economy, ecological environment, ecological governance and ecological system, the article empirically analyzed the ecological civilization construction of Guizhou Province from 2006 to 2022 by using the entropy weight TOPSIS method, and further analyzed the causal relationship between each dimension by Granger causality method. The results showed that:(1)The comprehensive evaluation of the development level of ecological civilization construction of Guizhou Province had increased from 0.31 in 2006 to 0.61 in 2022,with an average annual growth rate of 4.32%,showing an overall upward trend. At the same time, the ratings of ecological space, ecological environment, ecological governance and ecological system were also showing a rapid growth trend, with average annual growth rates of 3.56%,5.24%,8.03% and 5.91%,respectively.(2)The Granger causality test was applied to empirically demonstrate that ecological governance, ecological system and ecological space had a promoting effect on ecological economy.Ecological economy and ecological governance also had played a promoting role in ecological environment. This paper used time series dynamic analysis to fill the gap in the research of ecological issues in the field of ecological civilization construction of Guizhou Province. For the first time, the causal analysis method was introduced into the analysis of the impact dimension of ecological civilization construction. This not only provided useful reference for subsequent research, but also provided a basis for policy formulation.Based on research findings, the following policy implications were proposed:(1)In terms of ecological economy, developing green economy and achieving coordinated and unified development and ecology.(2)In terms of ecological protection, establishing compensation and incentive, constraint and punishment mechanisms.(3)In terms of ecological governance, establishing a diversified coordination mechanism led by government with the participation of market and society.
