数字普惠金融赋能农村居民服务消费:理论机制与经验证据

数字普惠金融是推动农村经济高质量发展与提振农村居民服务消费的重要抓手.文章采用2011-2021年中国31个省份的面板数据,构建计量模型实证检验数字普惠金融赋能农村居民服务消费的效应与机制.研究结果显示:(1)数字普惠金融可显著提高农村居民服务消费水平,内生性讨论及稳健性检验后,此结论依然成立.(2)分维度分析表明,数字普惠金融的覆盖广度、使用深度和数字化程度均对农村居民服务消费具有显著正向影响,影响系数分别为0.13、0.11和0.14,可见数字化程度的促进作用最大,覆盖广度次之,使用深度的促进作用最小.(3)异质性分析揭示,数字普惠金融的赋能效果在农村居民不同类别的服务消费中具有异质性,其整体赋能效果表现为交通通信消费>医疗保健消费>教育文化娱乐消费;数字普惠金融赋能农村居民服务消费同样具有区域异质性,东部地区的赋能作用优于中西部地区.(4)中介效应分析显示,数字普惠金融通过提高农村居民收入水平,间接提振农村居民服务消费.文章的主要创新在于从理论与实证两个层面,系统剖析数字普惠金融赋能农村居民服务消费的机制与路径,深化了对数字普惠金融赋能农村居民服务消费的理解.文章建议继续加快发展数字普惠金融、改善数字普惠金融发展不均衡的状况、提升农村地区数字普惠金融的服务质量、推动农村居民收入水平稳步提高.
Digital universal finance empowers rural residents'service consumption:theoretical mechanism and empirical evidence
Digital universal finance is an important starting point to promote the high-quality development of rural economy and boost the consumption of rural residents.Using the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2011 to 2021,this paper constructed an econometric model to empirically test the effect and mechanism of digital universal finance empowering rural residents'service consumption.The results showed that:(1)Digital universal finance could significantly improve the service consumption level of rural residents.This conclusion was still valid after endogenous discussion and robustness test.(2)The dimensional analysis showed that the coverage breadth,depth of use and digitization degree of digital universal finance could significantly promote the service consumption of rural residents,and the influence coefficients were 0.13,0.11 and 0.14,respectively,so the promotion effect of digitization degree was the largest,the coverage breadth was the second,and the depth of use was the least.(3)Heterogeneity analysis showed that the empowering effect of digital universal finance on different types of service consumption of rural residents was heterogeneous,among which transportation and communication consumption was the strongest,followed by health care consumption and education,culture and entertainment consumption was the weakest.The influence coefficients were 0.19,0.16 and 0.15,respectively.The empowering effect of digital universal finance on service consumption of rural residents in China also had regional heterogeneity,and the empowering effect in eastern China was better than that in central and western China.(4)The mediating effect analysis showed that digital universal finance could indirectly boost the service consumption of rural residents by improving their income level.The main innovation of this paper was to systematically analyze the mechanism and path of digital universal finance empowering rural residents'service consumption from both theoretical and empirical levels,and deepen the understanding of digital universal finance empowering rural residents'service consumption.This paper put forward policy suggestions such as accelerating the development of digital universal finance,improving the unbalanced development of digital universal finance,improving the service quality of digital universal finance in rural areas,and promoting the steady increase of rural residents'income level.
