Can rural households'digital literacy help rural ecological revitalization?——validation based on China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)data
Promoting rural ecological revitalization is of great significance for accelerating the construction of a powerful agricultural country,realizing Chinese-style modernization and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Rural households'digital literacy is related to the realization of the goal of rural ecological revitalization.Based on China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)data and macro rural ecological revitalization data in 2016,2018 and 2020,this paper used benchmark regression analysis,mediating effect analysis and heterogeneity analysis to explore the impact of rural households'digital literacy on rural ecological revitalization.The results showed that:(1)Rural households'digital literacy significantly and positively affected rural ecological revitalization,with a promotion effect of 0.0156,which still held after the robustness test.(2)The mechanism analysis showed that rural households'digital literacy could promote rural economic growth,thus contributing to rural ecological revitalization.(3)The heterogeneity analysis revealed that rural households'digital literacy could significantly increase the levels of rural ecological revitalization in the eastern and central areas,with impact coefficients of 0.014 and 0.0013,respectively,and the promotion effect on the western region was not obvious.Through quantile regression analysis,it could be seen that the lower the level of rural ecological revitalization,the greater the effect of rural households'digital literacy on it,with impact coefficients of 0.2085,0.1778 and 0.1281 at 0.10,0.25 and 0.80 quantiles,respectively.In addition,the higher the forest cover,the greater the impact of rural households'digital literacy on rural ecological revitalization,with impact coefficients of 0.0044 and 0.0013 for high and low forest cover areas,respectively.This paper explored the relationship between rural households'digital literacy and rural ecological revitalization from a micro perspective.By combining macro and micro data and using bidirectional fixed effect,mediating effect model and quantile regression,etc.,this study explored the mechanism how rural households'digital literacy promoted rural ecological revitalization,which enriched relevant research theories.This paper proposed to focus on the education and training of rural households'digital literacy,strengthen the construction of rural digital infrastructure and improve the forest coverage rate,so as to strengthen the positive effect of rural households'digital literacy on rural ecological revitalization.
