Research on the formation path and influencing factors of pro-environmental behavior of camping tourists
Camping tourism,as an emerging form of tourism and leisure,has left many consumption traces on the camping environment while flourishing.Exploring the influencing factors of camping tourists implementing pro-environmental behaviors is of great significance for protecting the ecological environment of camping sites.Based on 376 survey data of camping tourists in Taiyuan and its surrounding areas,this paper combined Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB)with the Value-Belief-Norm(VBN)Model,using multivariable linear regression model and mediation effect model for empirical research to explore the impact of various factors on the pro-environmental behavior of camping tourists.The results indicated that:(1)Environmental attitudes,personal norms and behavioral intentions had a positive impact on camping tourists'pro-environmental behavior,with regression coefficients of 0.1161,0.1397 and 0.2128,respectively,indicating that tourists'positive environmental attitudes,moral concepts and strong behavioral intentions could promote the implementation of pro-environmental behavior.(2)Behavioral intention played a partial mediating role in the pro-environmental behavior path of camping environmental attitudes and personal norms,the effects accounted for 39.47%and 38.02%,respectively,indicating that environmental attitudes and personal norms could influence tourists'pro-environmental behavior through the mediating variable of behavioral intention.(3)The camping environment quality and camping environment explanation had a positive effect on campers'pro-environmental behavior,with regression coefficients of 0.1021 and 0.1143,respectively,indicating that good environmental quality and standardized management measures could encourage tourists to actively implement pro-environmental behavior.This paper innovatively combined TPB theory,VBN theory and situational theory to construct an analysis framework for the pro-environmental behavior of camping tourists from both internal and external perspectives,exploring the formation path and influencing factors of pro-environmental behavior of camping tourists,and enriched the research perspective of pro-environmental behavior of camping tourists.This paper proposed to carry out environmental education activities to enhance tourists'ecological awareness and moral responsibility,to improve the quality and service level of camping facilities and enhance the sense of responsibility and participation of camping tourists in pro-environmental behavior.
