Study on functional character adaptability of Jinqiu Clementine in Three Gorges reservoir area
Taking Jinqiu Clementine introduced and planted in the Three Gorges reservoir area as the test material, the changes and correlations of functional traits of citrus leaves, flowers and fruits at different growth stages were studied,in order to understand the nutrient balancing relationship and survival adaptation strategy of Jinqiu Clementine, and further explore its internal physiological mechanism, providing theoretical reference for the cultivation and management of Jinqiu Clementine. To achieve the goal of improving fruit yield and quality. The results showed that the leaf area changed continuously during the growth period from spring to autumn, with the smallest in spring and the largest in summer.Spring leaves provide nitrogen for growth, summer leaves provide soluble carbohydrates for sugar accumulation, and autumn leaves provide free amino acids for ripening and flavor. The position of the leaves in the leaf economic spectrum(LES)moved from"low input-slow return"to"low input-high return"and then to"high input-high return",which was similar to the leaf economic spectrum in natural ecosystems, but different strategies were adopted in different seasons.Leaf width was positively correlated with leaf area, leaf dry matter and chlorophyll content, while specific leaf area was negatively correlated with leaf dry matter. The total soluble sugar content of leaves was proportional to the sugar content of fruits, and the total free amino acids were inversely proportional to the sugar content of fruits. The total nitrogen content in leaves is proportional to the total acid content. The content of vitamin C in fruit was negatively correlated with total soluble sugar in leaves and positively correlated with total free amino acids in leaves.Through the relationship between the above traits, the fruit growth can be predicted and corresponding management measures can be made to improve the fruit yield and quality.
