Design on soil and water conservation for the abandoned dreg site of Laobana reservoir project in Jinghong city
The construction of the Laobana Water Reservoir project in Jinghong city will result in a huge amount of solid waste. To prevent the solid waste being unorderly stacked during the construction process,an abandoned dreg site will be properly established.Meanwhile,a designing water and soil conservation program can effectively mitigate the erosion caused by the construction activities. This article started with the site selection for the abandoned dreg site in the Laobana reservoir project, and analyzed the restrictive factors of the waste disposal site. The determined dregs stacking program was subjected to the stability calculations for the dregs heap.Subsequently, soil and water conservation measures were designed for the abandoned dreg site, including engineering, plant, and temporary measures. Our works provide a reference for the future design of soil and water conservation measures at abandoned dreg sites in reservoir projects.
