Investigation and Study on Wild Birds in Spring at Yantongtun Station in Zhalong Nature Reserve
From March to May 2023,within the monitoring range of Yantongtun Station in Zhalong National Nature Reserve,Heilongjiang Province,11 bird survey lines were set up using stratified sampling principle and 10%sampling intensity to monitor and investigate the population and habitat of wild birds in spring.A total of 53 species of birds in 14 orders,23 families, and 9314 species were recorded.Among them, there are 6 species of national level I key protected wild animals, including the red crowned crane(Grus japonensis),oriental white stork(Ciconia boyciana),and yellow breasted bunting(Emberiza aureola),and 8 species of national level II key protected wild animals, including the gray crane(Grus grus)and white spoonbill(Platalea leucorodia). The most monitored species are 13 species in the order Chariotiformes, accounting for 24.07%;In terms of monitoring quantity, the most common order is Yaniformes(53.83%),followed by Hexonectiformes(21.56%);The dominant species are Anser fabalis,Fulica atra, and Grus grus. The composition of birds is mainly composed of summer migratory birds and migratory birds, with the highest diversity index in river and lake habitats and the lowest in grassland habitats. In response to the current situation of bird monitoring and investigation at Yantongtun Station, relevant suggestions are proposed to increase habitats, reduce human interference, and improve ecological water replenishment pathways,in order to lay a solid foundation for the future monitoring and protection of wild birds in the region.
