Study on Seedling Growth and Branch Ornamental Characteristics of Willow Hybrid Clones
In order to study the ornamental characteristics of the hybrid of fspring of Salix alba×Salix matsudana on branches and leaves and its coloration principle, the hybrid offspring of white willow and Salix matsudana with obvious differences in branch color were used as the research object in this study. They were divided into R group(red branches)(R1,R2,R3)and Y group(yellow branches)(Y1,Y2,Y3),'ordinary Salix matsudana'(HL,green)as a control, the color, morphology, anthocyanin content of branches and leaf morphology, color, chlorophyll content and other indicators were measured and analyzed. The results showed that the content of anthocyanin in the branches of R group was higher than that of Y group and HL group, and there was a significant difference. The chlorophyll content of leaves in R group and Y group was significantly different from that in HL group. The ratio of chlorophyll to carotenoid was significantly different between R group and HL group. The ratio of R group was higher and the proportion of chlorophyll was higher. The ratio of Y group was small, and the proportion of carotenoids was higher. The combined effects of these factors make the a values of leaf and branch colors in group R higher, the leaf color is greener, and the branch color is red;the color b values of leaves and branches in group Y were higher than those in the control group. The color of leaves was yellow-green,and the color of branches was yellow. The width-length ratio of leaves in R group and Y group was significantly different from HL,and the leaf morphology was roughly divided into broad lanceolate, narrow lanceolate and lanceolate. The comprehensive analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the phenotype of the hybrid offspring and the common varieties, and there was a richer genetic diversity, which had more ornamental characteristics than the common Salix.
