Species Diversity of Different Tending Intensity in Pinus koraiensis Plantations
Investigated the plant diversity of different thinning Korean pine plantations in Linkou Forestry Bureau. The results showed that:the types, density and average height of herbaceous and shrub species in the Korean pine plantations increased by more than 50%after thinning; The complexity of the community is relatively high, and the distribution of individual species is relatively uniform; The types of understory regeneration have increased by more than 200%,and the regeneration density has increased by more than 25%.Tending thinning has a significant impact on the plant diversity of Korean pine plantations. The higher the tending intensity, the more diverse the plant species and the more complex the community structure. This conclusion provides a theoretical basis for the near natural management of Korean pine plantations. From the perspective of enriching plant diversity,it is recommended that middle-aged Korean pine plantations adopt 60%cutting intensity for nurturing and thinning.
