Effects of Different Mulch on Seedling Breeding of Polygonatum cyrtonema
Polygonatum cyrtonema was used as the test material to explore the mulch suitable for seedling raising of polygonatum polygonatum. The test of outdoor digging pit storage and seed seedling cultivation was carried out by four methods of covering awn,dry straw, blighted grain and no covering,on the seeds with skins were put into breathable plastic woven bags. The yield, height of seedlings, leaf length and width, number of fibrous roots, length of fibrous roots and mass of tuber root(fresh weight)of mulched awn increased by 15.85%,20.13%,24.63%,19.26%,28.21%and 13.15%respectively compared with that of dry straw.Compared with blighted rice, the effect was increased by 48.44%,77.95%,84.27%,66.62%,72.16%,76.19%respectively.The effect of covering blighted rice was the worst, and each index decreased by 9.88%,9.32%,8.09%,24.53%,28.87%,33.33%,respectively.From this,it can be seen that Osmunda japonica can be used as a cover for the cultivation of Polygonatum multiflorum seeds, and can be promoted and applied in production.
