Study on the Differences in Soil Physical and Chemical Properties of Urban Green Spaces in Baoji City
[Objective]To explore the differences in soil physicochemical properties of different types of urban green spaces in Baoji City, and to provide theoretical basis and suggestions for green space management and soil quality improvement in Baoji City.[Methods]Taking the soil of main parks, squares, and road green spaces in Baoji City as the research object,15 soil samples were collected from different types of green spaces, and the soil moisture content,pH value, bulk density, organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, and available phosphorus content were measured.[Results](1)in terms of soil physical properties, the water content of park green spaces and square green spaces was similar, while the water content of road green spaces was relatively low.The overall bulk density of the soil is relatively high, and the soil is relatively compact.(2)In terms of soil chemical properties, the pH of the soil in all three types of green spaces is weakly alkaline; The overall organic matter content is low, with only 26.66% of parks and green spaces at a high level;Park green spaces with a total nitrogen content perform well, with 60% at a medium to high level.Road green spaces perform the worst, with only 20% at a medium to high level, and 26.67% at a very low level;Although there are differences in total phosphorus content among the three types of green spaces, most of them are in the range of 0.4~0.6 g/kg;The effective phosphorus content square green space and road green space perform well, both at a medium to high level of 10-20 mg/kg,followed by park green space.[Conclusions]The soil bulk density of different types of urban green spaces in Baoji City is relatively high, with low water content, and the overall soil is weakly alkaline. The organic matter, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus content are all expressed as park green space>square green space>road green space, and the effective phosphorus content is expressed as square green space>road green space>park green space.
