Research Progress and Hot Spot Trends in Wetland Carbon Sink in China During 2001 to 2021
It is of great significance to clarify the research progress in wetland carbon sink for finding a breakthrough point and identifying the research direction. The CiteSpace 5.8.R3,a widely used bibliometrics software, was employed to perform a visualized analysis of the published papers on the wetland carbon sink based on CNKI databases, including 1183 literature in core journals.Based on the analysis of number of publications, research teams, research institutions, research hot spots and trends of these data, the development status and research characteristics of domestic wetland carbon sink research were obtained. The results showed that:1)The number of published papers on wetland carbon sink in China increased in general, rising significantly since 2005,and peaked in 2017 with a fluctuation afterwards;2)Stable research teams in wetland carbon sink in China were formed in the main institutions including Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology of Chinese Academy of Sciences,Northeast Forestry University and Beijing Normal University.3)The studies on wetland carbon sink started from investigating the wetland responses to climate change,to studying the model of wetland soil remediation, and to currently focusing on the breeding and domestication of wetland carbon sequestration plants under the context of carbon neutrality;4)The analysis of knowledge map showed that, while the domestic research on wetland carbon sink is developing steadily, there is still a lack of comprehensive evaluation system for the calculation of wetland carbon sink, and the related impact of wetland carbon sink on carbon neutralization is seldom considered from the perspective of wetland restoration and protection. Therefore, this study points out that strengthening regional cooperation and constructing wetland carbon sink parameter database combined with local data may be an important topic for future research.
