An Analysis of Sustainable Approaches to Urban Wetland Conservation in Yangtze River Delta:A Case Study of Suzhou
The wetlands in Yangtze River Delta is a complex,dynamic and trans-regional ecosystem,which plays an important role in maintaining regional urban ecological balance and improving urban ecological quality.This paper takes wetland conservation in Suzhou,an important city in the Yangtze River Delta,as the entry point,to review the main problems existing in Suzhou's wetland conservation and utilization,and proposes the ways of realizing sustainable development of Suzhou wetland conservation according to the problems.The conservation planning focuses on improving the quality of wetland protection,restoring wetland ecosystem service functions,and considering the collaborative protection of river basins.From the perspective of humanistic ecology,the exploration of natural and cultural resources of wetlands,the improvement of wetland landscape characteristics,and the improvement of scientific management of wetlands have certain reference significance for the protection and development of wetlands in the Yangtze River Delta and even the developed cities in the coastal areas.
