Temporal and Spatial Distribution of Potamogeton Crispus and its Impact on Water Environment in Nansi Lake of Shandong Province
In order to understand the changing characteristics of the population of Potamogeton crispus and its impact on the water environment in Nansi lake, remote sensing imaging technology was used to monitor the spatiotemporal distribution pattern of P.crispus from 2017 to 2022.The impact of P.crispus on the water environment at different growth stages was analyzed from six indicators including transparency, dissolved oxygen, chemical oxygen demand, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, and chlorophyll-a.The results show that the area of P crispus in Nansi Lake displayed an increasing trend from 2017 to 2020,rapidly increasing from 208.65 km2 in 2017 to 311.81 km2 in 2020,with a growth rate of 49.44%;The area of P crispus decreased in 2021 and increased again in 2022 compared to 2021.P crispus has a dual impact on the water environment throughout its entire growth cycle.During its growth process,P crispus absorbs nutrients such as N and P from the water, increases water DO,and improves the physical and chemical properties of the water; But after the death and decay of P crispus,it decomposes to produce more organic matter, causing an increase in COD concentration and consumption of DO in the water. The content of Chla gradually increases, leading to a decrease in water transparency and deterioration of water quality. In order to guarantee water quality, the research on the comprehensive management and resource utilization of P.crispus should be increased, and the scale of growing P.crispus should be reasonably controlled.
