Interpretation of Technical Regulations for Operation and Maintenance of Tail Water Wetland of Urban Sewage Treatment Plant
Tail water wetlands, serving as ecological safety buffer facilities, boast numerous advantages such as beneficial ecological effects, low investment costs, reduced operational energy consumption, and minimal operating expenses.Consequently, they have been widely implemented across the country.Current standards primarily focus on regulating the design and construction of constructed wetlands, with somewhat general and simplified provisions regarding the operation and maintenance of tail water wetlands. To standardize the operation and maintenance of tailwater wetlands and ensure their long-term stable performance, this regulation is based on a survey of 65 tail water wetlands in Jiangsu Province. It addresses critical technical aspects of operational management, maintenance, operational monitoring, safety, and efficiency evaluation. Moreover,it establishes an operational efficiency evaluation system that includes economic, environmental, ecological, and social benefits, providing a reference for the standardized management and efficient operation of Jiangsu Province's tail water wetlands.
