Changes of Phytoplankton Community and Influencing Factors in Constructed Wetland Based on Running Water Chains of Multi Ponds:A Case Study of Shibalianwei Wetland
Shibalianwei is the estuary wetland of Chaohu lake, which was constructed based on multi-pond running water chain. In March and July 2023,physical and chemical indicators of water quality and phytoplankton community structure in four units of Shibalianwei were investigated. The results showed that the multi-pond running water chain was effective in removing nutrient pollutants, but the efficiency varied greatly between two seasons.A total of 127 species of phytoplankton from 8 phyla and 213 species from 8 phyla were identified in winter and summer respectively. In summer,Cyanobacteria were almost all dominant, while Bacillariophyta were more dominant in winter. However,Pseudoanabaena sp.became the dominant species in both two seasons, which might be in a key position in the food web.Nitrogen and dissolved oxygen are the most essential driving factors on phytoplankton community structure in winter, while COD,nitrate and total phosphorus in summer.Long-term monitoring of phytoplankton provide data support and a theoretical basis for the restoration of ecological health of Chaohu lake and its surrounding areas.
