An Analysis of Strategies for Ecological Restoration of Wetlands in Abandoned Coal Mine:A Case Study of Beihu Lake in Jiuli Lake,Xuzhou
Following the ecological concept of"Nature-based Solutions(NbS)",the approach to ecological restoration of abandoned coal mine was discussed.A case study was conducted of Beihu area of Jiulihu wetland in Xuzhou, this paper presents a deep insight into the characteristics and problems of fly ash dumps in abandoned coal mine, coordinates the needs of pollution control, diversified habitat restoration and ecological landscape construction, and proposes a"five-in-one ecological reconstruction strategy for fly ash dumps",and promotes the gradual transformation of"fly ash accumulation sites-low-lying lands-quasi-natural artificial wetlands-natural wetlands"in the study area through measures such as terrain remodeling, water system combing, soil improvement and reclamation, habitat construction, vegetation restoration and healthy water ecosystem construction. In order to provide a low-cost and repeatable practical reference for the reconstruction of healthy wetland ecosystem in the abandoned coal mine.
