Soil Acidity Characteristics of Sand Fixation Forest in Southern Horqin Sandy Land
[Objective]To understand soil acidity characteristics of sand fixation forest in southern Horqin sandy land,so as to clarify the effect of sand-fixation forest on soil ecological process.[Method]Four tree species of sand fixation forest in Liaoning Zhanggutai National Nature Reserve were studied. The intensity and capacity acidity indices in different soil layers of Pinus sylvestris var.mongolica,Pinus tabulaeformis,Pinus densiflora and poplar were contrastively investigated and statistically analyzed.[Result]The differences of current pH value(pHH2O)and potential pH value(pHKCl)in 0-10 cm and 10-30cm soil layers were significant and extremely. The current pH value and potential pH value in different soil layers of Pinus tabulaeformis are the lowest, and the current pH value and potential pH value in different soil layers of poplar are the highest. The differences of exchangeable acidity, and the concentration exchangeable H+ in 0-10 cm soil were all extremely significant between four tree species respectively. The difference of total hydrolytic acidity in 0-10 cm soil were significant between four tree species. The exchangeable acidity and exchangeable H+ concentration in 0-10 cm soil layers of Pinus tabulaeformis were the highest, and the exchangeable acidity and exchangeable H+ concentration in 0-10 cm soil layers of poplar were the lowest. The total hydrolytic acidity of Pinus densiflora was the highest, and poplar was the lowest. There was a significant difference between 0-10 cm soil layer and 10-30 cm soil layer under poplar forest, and there was no significant difference in the intensity indexes of soil acidity characteristics in different soil layers of the same tree species. In terms of capacity indexes, the exchangeable total acidity and hydrolytic total acidity of 0-10 cm soil layer were significantly higher than those of 10-30 cm soil layer in Pinus sylvestris var.mongolica and Pinus tabulaeformis forests. The hydrolytic total acidity in 0-10 cm soil layer was significantly higher than that in 10-30 cm soil layer in Pinus densiflora forest, but there was no significant difference in exchangeable total acidity. There was significant difference in exchangeable total acidity between 0-10 cm soil layer and 10-30 cm soil layer in poplar forest, but no significant difference in hydrolytic total acidity.[Conclusion]After the construction of artificial sand fixation forest, the acidity characteristics of soil under sand fixation forest in southern Horqin sandy land changed significantly due to the change of ecosystem vegetation composition and pH value of agricultural soil.
