Wildlife Value Assessment Based on Analytic Hierarchy Process
[Objective]This paper evaluated the value of wild animals reasonably,in order to strengthen the protection and management level of wild animals, and systematically analyzes the basic meaning of wild animal value.[Method]This study took Qingtian county of Zhejiang province as an example, based on the distribution of wild animal resources and regional ecological characteristics,5 species of wild animal were selected for value assessment, including Tragopan caboti,Pelochelys cantorii,Manis pentadactyla,Egretta garzetta,Sus scrofa. In order to establish the evaluation system, the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)was adopted, and the evaluation index system of wildlife value was scientifically and reasonably established from five aspects:ecological value, cultural value, economic value, medical value and scientific value.[Result]The weights of ecological value, cultural value, economic value, medical value, and scientific value were 0.382,0.091,0.288,0.035,and 0.205,respectively.These weights passed the consistency test. The comprehensive assessment values for Tragopan caboti,Pelochelys cantorii,Manis pentadactyla,Ardea alba,Sus scrofa were 5.783 4,5.864,6.04,6.195,and 6.154 2,respectively.The results indicated that Ardea alba had the highest comprehensive value in Qingtian.[Conclusion]This study revealed the key influencing factors of wildlife value, providing a theoretical basis and empirical guidance for wildlife conservation.
