Hotspots and Trends in Domestic and International Ecological Restoration Research Based on CiteSpace
Ecological restoration research has been a hot issue and a frontier field of ecological construction and sustainable development of human society. In this paper,we analyzed the literature related to ecological restoration in WOS core database and CNKI database from 1992 to 2021 using CiteSpace, reviewed the development history of ecological restoration research at home and abroad, and explored the frontier hotspots and development trends in this field. The results showed that:(1)The quantity of domestic and international literature on ecological restoration research has increased annually, and the research has undergone three stages:a budding stage(1992-2000),a slow development stage(2000-2010),and a rapid development stage(2010-2021).(2)There are slight differences in research emphasis between international and domestic studies.International research topics have evolved from environmental protection and management to various areas such as desertification, soil and water conservation, forest and vegetation restoration, and urban spatial patterns.Domestic research has progressed from early management of soil and water erosion to areas such as urban restoration, land spatial planning, and mine restoration, with research focusing on rivers, lakes, soils, wetlands, and mines.(3)International research on ecological restoration exhibits stronger communication, collaboration, systematicity, and interdisciplinary integration compared to domestic research. The field of ecological restoration in China holds promising prospects for development, and in the future,it is crucial to strengthen mutual referencing and connections among authors and institutions.
