Community Characteristics and Species Diversity of Euptelea pleiosperma in Chagangliang Nature Reserve,Gansu Province
[Objective]To examine the community characteristics and species diversity of Euptelea pleiosperma in Chagangliang Nature Reserve,Gansu province,in order to provide scientific basis for the protection, development and application of Euptelea pleiosperma.[Method]The species composition, life form, and flora of Euptelea pleiosperma community in Chagangliang Nature Reserve were analyzed using the 8 quadrat survey method.Additionally, the species diversity of the community was evaluated.[Result]The result indicated that there were 35 families,58 genera and 66 species of seed plants in the Euptelea pleiosperma community in Chagangliang Nature Reserve,Gansu province.According to the subfloristic distribution, the flora in this area was distributed in the north temperate zone.In terms of life forms, mesophanerophyte, microphanerophyte and nanophanerophyte plants were the main components of the community. The Shannon-Wiener index and Pielou index were calculated for the tree layer, the shrub layer, and the herbaceous layer. The tree layer had a Shannon-Wiener index of 5.28 and a Pielou index of 1.71,which were higher than those of the shrub layer and the herbaceous layer.[Conclusion]The plant composition of the community is complex, the dominance of the community is not obvious, and the habitat is easily disturbed by human activities. It is suggested that while protecting the existing community, the population characteristics of the community should be studied, and the research on the imitation-like wild culture of the community should be started in the Chagangliang Nature Reserve,so as to rationally develop and utilize the wild resources of the community.
