Research on Carbon Emissions Trading Pilot Policy and High-quality Green Development
This paper, based on provincial panel data from 2008 to 2020,constructs a high-quality green development indicator system using the entropy method.Furthermore, considering the implementa-tion of the carbon emission trading policy as a quasi-natural experiment,a double-difference model is employed to study and analyze the policy effects on high-quality green development in China. The re-search findings are as follows:the implementation of the pilot policy positively promotes high-quality green development, facilitating the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure to achieve sustain-able and high-quality green development. The study also indicates that during the process of promoting high-quality green development through this policy, the provinces and cities with higher levels of indus-trialization and carbon emissions exhibit more significant impacts from the carbon emissions trading pilot policy. This conclusion serves as important empirical support for advancing high-quality green develop-ment and provides crucial decision-making support for the construction of a national carbon market in China.
