Research on the Level Measurement,Regional Differences and Spatio-Temporal Evolution of High-Quality Development of China's Tourism Economy
This study constructs a comprehensive evaluation system for the high-quality development of China's tourism economy based on the connotations of high-quality development.Utilizing the entropy method, spatial autocorrelation, and σ-convergence analysis, this study reveals the changes in the lev-el,regional disparities, and spatio-temporal evolution of high-quality development. The results show that China's comprehensive index of high-quality tourism economic development exhibited an overall up-ward trend from 2011 to 2019,but declined in 2020.The green and sharing sub-dimensions performed well, while the innovation sub-dimension rose rapidly, and the openness sub-dimension faced signifi-cant challenges. The level of high-quality development of regional tourism economy in China is unbal-anced,with the eastern region performing better than the central region, followed by the northeastern re-gion,and then the western region. The growth rate presents a development pattern where the central re-gion grows faster than the western region, followed by the eastern region, and then the northeastern re-gion.Additionally,the tourism industry in China exhibits strong spatial agglomeration, forming a high-agglomeration pattern in the eastern region and a low-agglomeration pattern in the western and northeast-ern regions.Furthermore, the σ-convergence coefficient indicates that the gap in high-quality develop-ment levels between the eastern, central, and northeastern regions is narrowing, while no convergence trend is observed in the western region.
