The Comment of Characters and Yuanqing of the Complex Names in Tso Chuan
Using names,aliases,posthumous titles,and fiefs to address characters,the records of character titles in Tso Chuan are quite complex,which was referred to"complex titles"by Zhang Xuecheng.This can be divided into two cases.Firstly,the author of Tso Chuan took the historian's methodology of comment as the ideal of history,paid attention to the subtle change of the title of Chunqiu,and attached the idea of the historian's methodology of comment to the text of Tso Chuan.Secondly,the narrative of Tso Chuan itself did not widely implement the historian's methodology of writing in the title,as Liu Zhiqi said,"it was made according to the situation",and the direct record was made according to the customary titles of the folk at that time.
