Research on Paratexts of Translation from Bi Hexagram of The Book of Changes
Breaking through the metaphors of paratexts as"threshold"or"lobby"by the western literary criticism,the paper chooses the explanation of translation in light of The Book of Changes,compares the adornment connotation of Bi Hexagram with the translation's paratexts,analyzes the correspondent relationship between the divinatory symbol of"fire on mountains"and contrastive relationship between texts and paratexts,combs the metaphorical connotation and gradual variation of the hexagram's statements from the First Line to the Final Line to widen the understanding of the adornment rules for the paratexts,and instructs translators to apply the paratexts properly in practice,so as to figure out the Chinese theories'interpretation potential in the translation study on the paratexts.
