Exploring and Reconstructing:A Study on the Progress of Mainstream Media's Self-Built Clients:A Case Study of Chao News Client
The process of media convergence continues to advance in depth,mainstream media client realizes a leap forward from stage 1.0"layout port,form scale"to stage 2.0"aggregation of users,self-built platform".In February 2023,Zhejiang Daily Newspaper Group launched the Chao News Client,a landmark event in exploring mainstream media client integration development.Taking the Chao news client as the research object,this paper puts forward the questions of why the mainstream media should build an independent and controllable platform;how the mainstream media client can reconstruct its own characteristic brand,and can be better embedded in the life of its users.It is found that due to the need to aggregate users and integrate resources to form influence,platforms actively exit previous ports and upgrade and restructure internal resources to bring a better user experience to their users;Algorithm technology and excellent creators continuously empower clients,integrate mainstream values,enrich mobile narrative styles,form platform brand characteristics,link the platform with users,and better serve users.
