As a pivotal figure bridging the third generation of poets and the personalized writing of the 1990s,Hai Zi challenged the limits of literature and life throughout his brief yet brilliant life.With a posture of embracing death to seek life,he sought self-redemption and forged his own poetic kingdom in the history of contemporary poetry.Imagery is the soul of Hai Zi's poetic creation.By deeply analyzing the recurring natural images such as wheat,fields,villages,and the sun in his poetry,we can deduce four thematic dimensions:the consciousness of life,death,returning home,and hope.This paper aims to rekindle the public's respect for poetry and reverence for the value of life through these dimensions.
