Lingzhi has a unique position in both China and Western world.It is rooted in Chinese tra-ditional culture and boasts a worldwide reputation.In ancient poetry,Lingzhi has rich cultural heritage with a large number of cultural images depicted by many Chinese poets.At the same time,English trans-lations of Chinese ancient poems has been introduced to overseas countries,facilitating foreigners to know more about the unique Chinese Lingzhi culture.Lingzhi is not only a kind of fungi,but also a sa-cred herb,as well as the auspicious plant,the filial culture and the embodiment of the Taoist retreat.In the C-E translation of Lingzhi poetry,foreign translators tend to emphasize domestication and adopt free translation,and Christianity is presented to some extent.Domestic translators use both free translation and transliteration,which highlights the narrative feature of topic chains,but the topic chains of some Lingzhi images show fuzzy as well.
