This paper aims to explore how to effectively cultivate students'English language ability under the background of core literacy.First of all,we will explain the concept of core literacy and make clear its importance in the field of education.Then,we will analyze the current challenges faced by students'English language ability and the relationship between these challenges and core literacy.Next,we will introduce some effective teaching strategies to help students improve their English language abil-ity.Finally,we will verify the effectiveness of these strategies through empirical research.
