On the Teaching of the Translation Section in CET-4 and CET-6 from the Perspective of Cultural Translation Theory
This paper,based on the fact that the translation section of the CET-4 and CET-6 exams has been increasingly focusing on the examination of Chinese cultural elements in recent years,observes that there has never been a greater emphasis on Chinese culture in college English teaching in China.It encourages the dissemination and promotion of Chinese culture through translation.Taking a perspective centered around cultural translation,this paper extensively analyzes key issues encountered by students during their Chinese-English translation practice while also summarizing specific suggestions for impro-ving CET-4 and CET-6 translation teaching that are both practical and feasible.The ultimate goal is to effectively enhance students'translation abilities,enrich their cultural literacy,and broaden their cross-cultural perspectives,thereby establishing a solid foundation for cultivating high-quality talents equipped with cross-cultural communication skills and international vision.
