Exploration of Ideological and Political Education in East Asian History Courses
Teachers should pay attention to combining the teaching of professional knowledge with the ideological and political education of students in the process of teaching East Asian history.The close connections in history among China,Japan,and the Korean Peninsula were demonstrated by a vast a-mount of literature and archaeological data,with an East Asian world centered around ancient China.This East Asian world used Chinese characters as a medium of communication and shared a common identity with Confucian culture.Teachers should have extensive knowledge reserves and employ a variety of teaching methods for controversial issues in East Asian history,such as the Tangun Myth,Gaogouli,Bo-hai State,and Diaoyu Islands.They should guide students in practical investigations,adhere to the core socialist values and the fundamental principle of seeking truth from facts,and help students correctly un-derstand the controversial issues in East Asian history.
