Preparation and properties of organic/inorganic composite thermoelectric materials based on wool fibers
In order to solve the problems of poor flexibility and complex preparation process of traditional thermoelectric materials,an organic/inorganic composite thermoelectric coating composed of poly(3,4-ethyldioxythiophene)∶poly(styrene sulfonate)(PEDOT∶PSS),carbon nanotubes(CNT)and bismuth telluride(Bi2Te3)was prepared by solution method, and coated on the surface of wool yarn by coating and dipping method, and the high-performance thermoelectric yarn was successfully prepared. The morphological characteristics of thermoelectric yarns were analyzed, and the thermoelectric properties, bending mechanical properties and washing resistance of thermoelectric yarns were tested. The results show that when the radio of CNT to Bi2Te3 is 1∶4 and the content of Bi2Te3 is 20%,the thermoelectric performance of the thermoelectric yarn is the best, the power factor of the thermoelectric yarn is 9.37 μW/(m·K2),the corresponding conductivity and Seebeck coefficient are 5 775 S/m and 40.3 μV/K,and the resistance value remains stable after several bending cycles and water washing tests. This method provides a new idea for the preparation of high-performace textile-based thermoelectric materials.
