Foam motion modeling simulation and stability experiments of printing paste foam
In response to stability concerns in foam printing, the fluid volume method(VOF)and continuous surface force(CSF)model were used to simulate the foam movement process, and the influence of surface tension, liquid viscosity, bubble spacing and bubble diameter difference on the stability was discussed. The results show that reducing the surface tension is more conducive to maintaining the bubble shape during the bubble rise, reducing the gas diffusion, and obtaining a higher foam volume under the test conditions.Increasing the viscosity of liquid phase can reduce the speed of bubble rise and improve the stability of foam. When the bubble spacing is small, bubbles will merge and converge into large bubbles.Reducing the bubble diameter gap and increasing the bubble spacing can weaken the bubble merging process and improve the stability. The foam prepared by the foaming solution with higher viscosity has higher uniformity, weaker bubble movement and higher overall stability.
