Paisley pattern design and application based on shape grammar
In order to explore the modeling characteristics of Paisley pattern and explore its practical value,an innovative scheme of Paisley pattern based on shape grammar was proposed.Through the literature method and shape grammar,the research and application of Paisley patterns were carried out.Firstly,the Paisley patterns were analyzed and sorted out,and the main parts of the Paisley patterns and the initial shapes of the decorative parts were extracted by means of simplification and decomposition.Then,the Paisley patterns were reconstructed and innovated.The principle of shape grammar was used to innovate the design of Paisley patterns,and the basic image units were first generated by generative rules.Then use the derivative rules to produce innovative derivative patterns,mainly separate and continuous patterns,and innovate new Paisley patterns.Finally,four patterns were selected for design practice and display in the traditional style of modern cheongsam,which verified the feasibility of the application of Paisley patterns in modern cheongsam design.The innovative design of Paisley pattern by using shape grammar can effectively design a novel design scheme of Paisley pattern,which enriches the pattern design of modern cheongsam.
