Identification of animal fiber by scanning electron microscope and infrared spectroscopy
In order to create a more specific and feasible method of animal fiber identification,15 types of animal fiber were collected and studied using a combination of scanning electron microscopy and infrared spectroscopy. When scanning electron microscopy was used to study the morphology of animal fiber,it was found that there are significant differences in the morphological characteristics of the same genus animals. In addition, the animal fibers were further analyzed by infrared spectrometer. For fibers of the same genus animals, there was little difference in the infrared spectrum, however, the significant difference was found between the ratio of the peak height of AmideⅡand AmideⅠof fibers for different genus animals. The results show that infrared spectroscopy can be used as the main method and scanning electron microscopy as the auxiliary method when identifying fibers of different genus animals, when identifying fibers of the same genus animals, scanning electron microscopy can be used as the main method and infrared spectroscopy as the auxiliary method. The combination of scanning electron microscopy and infrared spectroscopy can provide a new idea for the identification of animal fiber.
