Effect of dopamine hydrochloride treatment on oil-water separation performance of PLA nonwoven fabric
In order to study the influence of dopamine hydrochloride treatment on oil-water separation performance of PLA nonwoven fabric, dopamine hydrochloride with mass fraction of 0.5%~1.0%was adopted for the treatment of PLA melt-blown nonwovens and PLA spunbond nonwovens, and the property of treated sample were tested. The results showed that the amount of dopamine hydrochloride adhesion on the surface of PLA nonwoven fibers after treatment was increased as the mass fraction increase of dopamine hydrochloride. And the nonwovens were changed from hydrophobicity to super hydrophilicity. The influence of mass area ratio change of PLA spunbond nonwovens on the adsorption amount of dopamine hydrochloride was small. The tensile stress of PLA nonwovens showed a trend of decrease first and then increase as the increase of dopamine hydrochloride solution mass concentration. For CCL4/water and n-hexane/water mixing solution,PLA nonwovens showed that water could pass but oily solvent was intercepted. On the contrary, the material after immersing with oily solvent could let oily solvent pass quickly but would intercept water with autonomous selectivity. The oil-water separation volume was 1 671.123 L/(m2·h)and 1 697.951 L/(m2·h).The oil-water separation volume of PLA spunbond nonwovens on CCL4/water and n-hexane/water mixing solution was reached up to 3 852.743 L/(m2·h)and 3 922.961 L/(m2·h).After ten times of repeating separation on n-hexane/water mixing solution for PLA nonwoven, the separation flux was decreased with smaller amplitude, the oil-water separation cyclicity was better.
