Preparation and property of composite photocatalytic material based on polyester-cotton blended fabric
In order to recycle waste textiles into high-value products and obtain photocatalytic material, the active carbon materials was prepared by high temperature carbonization using polyester cotton fabric as raw materials and ZnCl2 as activating agent.Then,TiO2 was in situ synthesized on activated carbon with butyltitanate as the precursor to prepare activated carbon photocatalytic composite materials. The structure and property of the product were characterized. The results showed that the photocatalytic materials prepared with polyester cotton fabric of blending ratio 80/20 and at 800℃had amorphous structure, and TiO2 was evenly distributed on the activated carbon. The adsorption capacity of methylene blue could be reached 344 mg/g.The degradation rate for methylene blue with mass concentration of 60 mg/L could be reached 98%after 6 h illumination. After 5 times cycles, the degradation rate of methylene blue could still be reached 80%.It showed excellent photocatalytic degradation and recycling performance.
