Research on the Relation between Student Pilots'Emotional Fluctuation and Working Memory Span Based on Civil Aviation English
Emotional fluctuations of civil aviation student pilots may have a certain impact on flight safety.In order to evaluate the degree of its influence,this paper proposes an effective evaluation method based on civil aviation English from the perspective of working memory for the first time.Firstly,the student pilots were pre-tested on working memory span and emotion respectively.Their emotions were classified into three categories:positive,neutral and negative.Secondly,different emotional influences were applied to each of the three categories by using video materials.Then,the subjects were post-tested on working memory span and emotion.Lastly,based on the pre-test and post-test scores,the correlation between the emotional fluctuation values and the working memory scores was analysed.The experiment proves that there is a significant correlation between emotional fluctuation and working memory.Positive emotional fluctuations can expand the working memory span of student pilots,while negative emotion fluctuations will narrow the working memory span of student pilots.
