Analysis of the Influence of Terrain Resolution on the Reliability of EGPWS Mode 2A
This paper studies the effect of terrain resolution on near-earth alarm triggering, and proposes a simulation technique using terrain predictive alarm.Taking the emergency flight state backup flight track as an example,it realizes the terrain prediction alarm triggering by processing the terrain elevation data and simulating the alarm mode 2A of the enhanced near-earth alarm system. It introduces different resolutions of elevation data to study the influence of terrain resolution on NEATS triggering, and optimizes the NEATS triggering decision mechanism. The experimental results show that higher resolution terrain elevation data can predict alarms more accurately and reduce false alarms and missed alarms.
