Eye Movement,Workload and Situation Awareness in Helicopter Simulator Flight Training
Cognitive performance evaluation and prediction is very important in helicopter flight training. This paper explores the eye movement characteristics, workload and situation awareness at different stages of helicopter pilot training,as well as their relationships.Firstly, the helicopter simulator flight training experimental scenario is constructed. At two different flight training stages, the simulator flight experiments are carried out and the data is collected.Differences and correlations tests are used to analyze the data. The results show that with the deepening of flight training process, the workload of completing the same flight task will decrease and the situation awareness will increase. However, there is no significant difference in eye movement indicators. The workload is negatively correlated with situation awareness, and there is significant difference among fixation maps, and specific eye movement patterns corresponding to flight subjects are presented.
