Study on the U.S.Airworthiness Management Policies for Military Aircraft Products and Parts Used in Civil Aircraft
International Civil Aviation Organization(ICAO)is a global organization dedicated to providing unified civil aviation safety regulations worldwide. However, there is no such a global organization responsible for military aviation safety, and there is no set of global rules established in the military aviation sector. For various reasons, sovereign nations established their unique military airworthiness systems, most of which were tailored by drawing from the airworthiness management framework and model in civil aviation sector provided by the ICAO.This enables the military-civilian integration in international aviation sector.Currently, there is little literature available on airworthiness management of military aircraft products or parts used in civil aircraft. This paper aims to fill in part of the research gap mentioned above and provides a detailed introduction to the development process and documentation system of U.S.military aircraft products or parts used in civil aircraft, focusing on the airworthiness management and evaluation pathways and procedures. It is expected to serve as a reference for the deepening of civil-military integration in the aviation sector in China and the promotion of the domestic use of military aircraft products and parts in civil aircraft.
