Prospects for the Construction of Photovoltaic Electrolysed Water Projects in High Plateau Airports
In September 2020,at the 75th United Nations General Assembly,China announced it would strive to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060.The 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Civil Aviation proposes reducing the energy consumption per passenger at airports to 0.853 kilograms of standard coal by 2025.In this context,as a major energy consumer, airports will inevitably choose to save energy and reduce emissions. There are 24 high plateau airports in China, where solar energy resources are abundant and provide good foundations for the supply of electricity, oxygen and heating in airports through the"photovoltaic+"approach. This article introduces how high plateau airports can fully utilize"photovoltaic power generation+oxygen and hydrogen production by electrolysis of water+hydrogen utilization",and forecasts the project benefits based on assumed conditions,in order to provide reference for green airport construction and profitability enhancement of high plateau airports.
