Evaluation and Optimization of the PMS Procedure in TMA Airspace
With the development of the aviation industry,we are facing the shortage of airspace resources.Point Merging System(PMS)has become an important way to effectively utilize and manage airspace resources.In order to meet the needs of rapid growth of local aviation market and accelerate the construction of international aviation hub,the Tianfu International Airport plans to change the current airspace and implement PMS for northbound operations.This article evaluates the airspace operation efficiency and safety of the Tianfu Airport under current conditions and after the implementation of PMS from the perspectives of airports,sectors and controller loads,based on computer-based fast-time simulation technology and the situation of Chengdu TMA"City of Two Airports"shared approach segments.
