Statistical and Comparative Analysis of the Differences in Gale Weather at Two Airports in Beijing
The characteristics of gale weather at Daxing Airport and Capital Airport during September 2019 to May 2023 are statistically analyzed,and the causes of gale differences between the two airports are analyzed and studied according to different cold air paths.The results show that:1)In the past four years,the total number of gale days at Capital Airport is higher than that at Daxing Airport,with the highest number of gale days in winter and the lowest number in autumn for the two airports.Capital Airport has more gale days in autumn and winter than Daxing Airport,while the opposite is true in spring.2)The difference in wind direction is more significant than that in wind speed.The gale at Capital Airport is mainly westerly or northwest wind,and the gale at Daxing Airport is mainly northerly wind.3)In the case of westward path,whether there is cold advection or not,the wind force at Capital Airport is greater than that at Daxing Airport in most cases.4)The situation of cold air invasion in the northwest path is more conducive to gale weather at Daxing Airport,and the occurrence time of gale weather at Capital Airport depends on whether the cold air invasion occurs during the daytime or at night.5)When cold air appears in the north or northeast path,the wind force at Daxing Airport is greater than that at Capital Airport in most cases.
