The Platform Society and the Pursuit of a Better Life in China:Observations Based on Digital Infrastructure
Anthropological research on the good life has great academic vitality in the context of social development in China today.The cutting-edge technologies such as Internet,big data and artificial intelligence not only enable the construction and exploration of the digital society but also help the digital transformation of people's life.The platform society based on digital infrastructure has become an important technical basis for Chinese people to achieve a better life.The platform society can be understood from five aspects:digitalization,commercialization,diversification and centralization,personalization and globalization.While the Internet platform brings a better life in clothing,food,housing,transportation and leisure,it also faces challenges such as digital divide,traffic rationality and appropriate technology.From the perspective of anthropology and folklore,digital infrastructure provides an efficient and convenient platform for information exchange;it also promotes the transmission and exchange of culture to facilitate the development of cultural diversity.
