Research on the Influence Mechanism of Internet Use Among Urban Migrant Population under the Perspective of Class Perception:An Empirical Analysis Based on CSS(2021)Data
The rapid development of information technology and the widespread application of digital platforms in the digital media era have accelerated the social mobility of urban migrant populations. This study uses data from the 2021 China Social Survey(CSS)to examine the impact of class mobility on the Internet use behavior of urban migrants. After analyzing the mechanism, this study finds that there is a"class mobility effect"in the Internet use behavior of urban migrants.Specifically, class mobility will positively affect the learning and development of Internet use behavior, but class mobility does not affect the social and entertainment use behavior of the Internet. In other words, the higher the perceived class mobility, the more active the urban floating population is in learning and development. In addition, social participation plays a mediating role between the two,and the perception of class mobility affects the In-ternet use behavior of learning and development through the social participation of social migrants.
