VO(acac)2 Catalyzes the Preparation of Perfluoroheptanoic Acid by the Oxidation of Perfluorohexyl Ethylene by Hydrogen Peroxide
Perfluoroheptanoic acid, with high-purity and linear chain content up to 99%,was success-fully prepared through the transition metal-catalyzed green oxidation method from the industrial by-product(perfluorohexyl)ethylene was oxidized by using hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by vanadyl acety-lacetonate.The purity of perfluoroheptanoic acid synthesized by this method was greater than 98%,and the linear chain content was greater than 99%.Perfluoroheptanoic acid is one carbon atom less than pentadecafluorooctanoic acid, and it is not included in the restricted list,so it is expected to be an alter-native to pentadecafluorooctanoic acid in various fields with good market prospects.
