Homo Sacer and Alienated Man:Critique Paths of Agenben and Marx from the Perspective of Subjectivity
The emergence of biopolitics in recent decades has opened up a new path for contemporary critiques of capitalism, sparking considerable academic interest in its theoretical dialogue with Marx's political economy.Within the critical theoretical framework exploring individual survival conditions under the capitalist system, the issue of subjectivity has become a central theme linking biopolitics and political economy.Specifically,Agamben's"Homo Sacer"and Marx's"Alienated Man"exhibit various similarities in terms of their conditions of existence and mechanisms of production. However, their fundamental opposition in terms of the nature of life reveals the essential divergence between biopolitics and political economy on the theoretical level, leading to the"Homo Sacer"ultimately keeping away from reality and moving towards theoretical community.Nevertheless,Agamben's profound exploration of the"Homo Sacer"strikes a chord with the democratic chaos under the contemporary capitalist system, guiding us to reexamine the actual plight of subjects in the digital age.
